Other Comments: The bowls are fine. What can you do with a glass bowl except drop and break it? The lids not so much. Even if you just loosely place the lid on the bowl before microwaving, suction tightens it and it becomes deformed. Don't use the lids at all when you microwave! I haven't even dared to put them in the dishwasher. Worse, the lids on the smallest bowls don't fit at all. They are too tight so it takes forever to secure them onto the bowl. Very disappointed in Pyrex for the poor quality lids. My advice. Don't buy.

Other Comments: I ordered these glass Pyrex storage round set with the plastic lids to replace my old plastic tubwear. I believe that the glass will not retain any odor from food that is stored in them because I have already tried the Anchor brand storage round set, which is exactly the same as the Pyrex (the only difference is the brand name) and I was happy with the size of the dishes which I bought on special offer. So I ordered this particular set because it contained 2 large bowls in the set which are very useful to me also. The Pyrex lids are made from the same materials as the Anchor lids and they both state on the lids that it is also safe to use in the microwave. I am afraid to use it in the microwave because the Anchor lid melted and lost its shape (I purposely did not press the lid tight on the dish, so as to leave an air vent in) so I was surprised when that happened. I don't know if anyone else has tried warming food in the microwave using the Pyrex dishes with the lids on - whether they have had any problems or not. I am afraid now to leave the lids on at all when warming food in the microwave. I use cling film to cover the dish before placing it in the microwave.
