That has prevented a lot of "re-answering interruption blunders to existing calls" that we used to have with our prior phones that did not differentiate between new calls and existing calls very well. This RCA is a far superior product and I only paid $10 more for it. I make anywhere from 200-300 calls per day. I think it is more user friendly. I only wish the Preset EQ worked while using a headset instead of only when using the speakerphone. The blue backlight is very attractive. So far, I have no issues with it.
