Heart of the Hide 12in Dual Core Baseball Glove (Right Handed Throw)
(RLPRO12MTDC)
Pros: Breaks In Easily
Cons: Little heavy
Other Comments: This mitt is great quality. [...] I got this for my 9 year old. The only concern will be how he deals with a little heavier mitt than the cheap ones he has had before.

(RLPRO12MTDC)
Pros: Breaks In Easily, Good Control, Great Fit, Retains Shape, Comfortable Feel
Cons: none
Other Comments: I help coach a little league team and this glove is awesome. It is a quality glove and easy to break in. A liitle costly but completely worth it. It will last for years and will probably pass it on to my 10 year-old.

Heart of the Hide 12in Dual Core Baseball Glove (Right Handed Throw)
(RLPRO12MTDC)
Pros: Retains Shape, Breaks In Easily, Comfortable Feel, Great Fit
Cons:
Other Comments: This is the first baseball/softball glove that I've invested a small chunk of money on and I'm already seeing it pay dividends. My past gloves have been $40/$50 gloves that have little protection, cheap leather, and tend to fall apart after a couple years.
A good friend of mine has the Heart of the Hide Dual Core first baseman's glove, so I knew the leather on this model was going to be nice. I received the glove on a Friday afternoon and spent the next couple days breaking it in with some old fashion elbow grease. I actually played with it in a game the following Wednesday (5 days after receiving it) and it worked out great. The only issue I had is that it was slightly heavier than I was used to since I've always played with cheaper gloves with little to no protection, but that became a non issue after another few days.
I've had the glove now for about three weeks and I'm very happy with my purchase. A couple friends who played baseball in college recommended that I try to break in the glove without any products. They say it takes longer, but in the long run, you'll be much happier due to virtually no maintenance. I've been working the glove pretty hard on my own and keeping a softball in the pocket when I'm not using it. I even put in the trunk of my car (with a softball in the pocket) during a stretch of a couple hot days in the South and it seemed to soften up the leather and mold around the softball for an even better pocket.
I play third baseball in a men's softball league and the 12" Trap-Eze Web pattern is awesome. Don't shy away from this glove just because Rawlings says it's primarily for baseball pitchers. It's an awesome infielder's glove and I feel confident enough with it that I could even play outfield in softball and still catch everything around me.
Overall, the glove has broken in much quicker than I expected without the use of any products. I've been very happy with the leather quality and glove protection, and the color/style fits my game perfectly.
