85mm f/1.4 Aspherical Lens for Sony DSLR Cameras
(RO85MS)
Pros: Big chunk of glass, Manual, Image Quality, Smooth Focus ring
Cons: No metering system, Slow to focus in, All manual, No auto focus
Other Comments: I absolutely love this lens. I was worried about it being fully manual, but now I have gained confidence in myself to focus quickly and accurately. This has brought a new world of photography to me. The bokeh this lens offers up is creamy and delicious. This is due in part of the wide, wide aperture. This lens lets in a lot of light. Sometimes on sunny days I have to stop this baby down past 4 to get a useable shot because there is too much light coming in. I have no problems shooting inside with it either. It is a heavy lens, but I really like the feel it offers up on the camera. The manual focus ring is smooth and has no play, I might be lucky on this one. The lens isn't the tightest fit on the camera body, though it should with a metal mount. Overall, combining the price, I would suggest picking one up. You will really appreciate photography in all of its manual wonder. I love it and hopefully you will as well.

85mm f/1.4 Aspherical Lens for Sony DSLR Cameras
(RO85MS)
Pros:
Cons:
Other Comments: First thing - remember this is a MANUAL Lens Period. Once you get past that, you will enjoy the beautiful images this lens produces. IQ and creamy bokeh to die for. f/1.4 is very sharp and gets better stop down, f/2.8 and its a whole new world. This lens does not have the little blue zeiss log but images are on pare trust me. My fellow Alpha mount a900 and a850 users you must set you custom option on the camera to shoot without lens. Otherwise, the camera wont know there is a lens attached. I shoot comfortably in A (aperture priority mode or Manual Mode) works great either way.
