Review submitted for Samsung HT-C6900W - 3D Blu-Ray Home Theater System (SAMHTC6900W)
Pros:
Cons:
Other Comments: [...] The problem is with the Samsung product I purchased.I purchased this home entertainment unit based on Consumer Reports recommendations to compliment my HDTV. I hooked the system up using HDMI cables to HD cable box and DVD as per instructions. The results were absolutely no signal output to television. Made direct connections to television from digital sources (cable box and DVD player) directly to television and signal to television was fine. I attempted to play the home entertainment unit blue ray system and sound signal from home entrainment unit to speakers worked, but again no HDMI signal to television. As per instructions in product packing, I contacted Samsung customer service to obtain assistance. After an hour of troubleshooting on the phone with the tech, I was told to ship the unit to the Samsung Technical Repair center. That was two weeks ago and since then I have received no word from Samsung or their repair center as promised. It is quite evident that Samsung does not do quality inspections on their products before they ship them. This was also a learning lesson for me in regards to purchasing high ticket electronic items through the internet as well. Had I purchased this in a local store I would have simply taken it back. Buyer beware. Stay away from Samsung products and think twice about purchasing electronics on the internet unless you can afford to lose your money on them.

1 out of 5 stars   Problems Problems

Review submitted for Samsung HT-C6900W - 3D Blu-Ray Home Theater System (SAMHTC6900W)
Pros: Sound
Cons: Remote, HDMI, Networking
Other Comments: The sound when it work was great. But the problems have FAR out weighed the pluses. The Network on Wireless Drops out every hour or so (at best) and when it does, it doesn't keep the settings for the security. You have to go back and reset the Networking options. For some reason every time i turn it on, it switches the output to NOT the TV. So unless you are fairly savey with remotes, TV's, and Cable boxes getting it to so anything can be a pain. It takes me a 2 mins sometimes for the system to be in a state to watch. ... This is from someone that has been doing software/firmware development since 1983. My son, who just got a Aerospace degree, took about 10mins to get the system to work..... i'm going to find out how to return it.... and yes i did call Samsung for support :-(
