I was planning on buying the 50" version at[@] when I received the Buy.com mailer with this item listed. It ended up being cheaper for the 58" at [@]/BeachCamera because I didn't have to pay tax and free shipping (which was great because I had no idea how I would get the TV home from [@] in my car). This TV is huge and makes me wonder how I ever watch on my 32" LCD.Colors are bright and crisp with plenty of customization settings to get that perfect picture you need. Glare is a little much at first, but you will learn optimal seating, lighting locations fast and may have to make lighting changes.TV works great and the 3D is beyond impressive. It makes it look like I have this giant box on my wall that leads to an open world. I have had 3D "haters" come over and leave with a whole new feeling on the technology. The 3D stuff that plays on my TV at home looks 100x better than anything 3D I have seen at a non-IMAX theatre. The stereoscopic 3D is awesome for video games and movies. The 2D->3D conversion "works" but you wont find yourself using it much as it's not perfect and some things are in the wrong perspective. Also, the 3D works best in a completely dark room. The ambient lighting seems to distract you from the main picture.Another thing to note is that you will not be watching everything in 3D as it will hurt your eyes after a while. It's good for a movie or playing a game for an hour or two, but after that you will want to switch back to 2D for a while. It's just an extra feature more than the new way you watch TV.The TV is big and heavy, so you wont even be removing this thing from the box without some help or Yao Ming's wingspan. I had trouble even finding a stand for it so I wall mounted it and couldn't be happier with the amount of space that is cleared up in my living room!I don't use the normal remote much as I have a Logitech Harmony remote, but it seems to have a lot of good features.Best Looking Games for 3D that I have tried:-MotorStorm 3D Rift-God of War Origins Collection (intro is kinda weak 3D but when you start playing it's great).Best Looking Movies for 3D that I have tried:-Drive Angry-Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs Yes, I recommend this product Was this review helpful?     |     Report this review
