  Looks great sounds great By OrangeCatGuy on February 02, 2014 Review submitted for Samsung UN40F6400 - 40 inch 1080p 3D 120hz Smart WiFi LED HDTV (SAMUN40F6400) Pros: Fabulous picture and astonishingly good sound. I have hooked the set up to an amplifier but find that I rarely use it because the sound from the set is so good. The SMART features are particularly welcome because they make it possible to view Web-based videos such as TED talks. Cons: The minimalist remote control may be just a bit too minimalist and it's nearly impossible to pick up the remote without accidentally activating something. Solution: Download an application that turns your Android phone or tablet into a full-featured remote control and use the Samsung device only for turning the set on and off. Other Comments: Samsung support is odd. I couldn't enable the SMART feature that required connecting to Samsung's server, so I spent about 30 minutes with a level-1 tech and then another 20 minutes with a level-2 tech. When I was finally passed up the chain to a specialist, she said, "This is a known problem. I'll just log on to your television and upgrade the firmware." Samsung needs to communicate better with the technicians that customers will encounter initially to avoid wasting their customers' time and the time of their own support technicians.   Will buy Samsung again & again By Mac Over Windows on October 30, 2013 Review submitted for Samsung UN40F6400 - 40 inch 1080p 3D 120hz Smart WiFi LED HDTV (SAMUN40F6400) Pros: Great price, Nice Remote And Free, Bright, Full HD, Shipped To Canada, 3D is great, Clear, Free Keyboard Cons: But Picture Quality Isn't, Works Fine In Game Mode, Xbox Gameplay Lag Other Comments: After searching for a new TV I have came across this one that caught my eye. my last tv was a 55" Smart Toshiba Regza late 2012 Model cost about $2000 after taxes thinking that tv would be perfect but was horrible in dark scenes, anyway that tv broke(long story) so compared to my old tv The 40" Samsung led 3D 6 Series 6400 tv is Great for what you pay. The Blacks and white are amazing on this tv, night scenes are even amazing unlike my old toshiba. I would have to say Over all I would give this tv a 8/10. Pros-This unit is inexpensive and comes with a set of 3d glasses and a free $100 keyboard, Picture quality is amazing and they ship to Canada with no crazy duty fees, fast shipping, This tv is not available in canada so after finding it here I was SOLD! Cons- I put in GTA 5 on my Xbox 360 and was AMAZED how everything looked so real! so I steal a car and start playing make a left hand turn and BAM!, This unit has a serious LAG issue and starting to make me 2nd guess my purchase. I play around with the settings and found an option called Game mode, start playing GTA 5 again and the LAG is GONE! but now the graphics are no longer real life like. still good but wasn't very impressed. V & P is junk. V- didn't see WiFi network, P- break or didn't see video files from USB hard drive or from remote PC through WiFi. Only Samsung works right. No problem with codecs. YouYube streams without interruption. Sometime TV lost WiFi connection with router. Also- it has flash players to see video in Browser! Not a lot of TV browsers has this option.
