Verified Purchase Review submitted for Sanus VMPL50B - Tilting Wall Mount for 30" - 56" flat-panel TVs (Black) (SANVMPL50B) Pros: Easy To Install, Can Support Weight, Sturdy, Interfaces Well With TV Cons: Difficult To Adjust Other Comments: The bracket is great and supports weight of a 55' LCD without a problem. VERY STURDY. Easy to install. Toughest part is postioning and making sure it's perfectly level. AFTER mounting, it's tough to adjust. I can barely get my arm behind the TV with enough leverage or torque to release the adjustment knob. This could be remedied with a longer handle on the knob or with a circular knob handle with more friction on the edge. Also, a safety feature might be to have a ridge at each edge of the mount to prevent accidentally pushing the TV one direction too far and off the edge. Consider adding a drywall anchor to the end that is not bolted to a stud...the hanger was only long enough to mount to 2 studs so one end/edge was not actually attached to the wall. Once you put the bolts in, you won't want to remove to put in drywall anchors and they won't fit though the holes. It helped me feel more comfortable putting the TV up there. Also, the diagram shows studs 12 inches apart...ours were the "standard" 16 inches. Got to have a drill and a 3/16 in drill bit and a ratchet set to install.
