Review submitted for Sandisk 64 GB Extreme CompactFlash Memory Card 60MB/S {SDCFX-064G-A61} (SDCFX064GA61)
Pros: Reasonably Fast, Large storage
Cons:
Other Comments: Unfortunately, the Compact Flash market is not as competitive nor as high volume as SD cards so the prices for similar storage are not the same. However, high-end CF cards are both physically more durable and, in general, faster than most SD cards. This is why the high end DSLRs still use CF cards. This 64gb card is a reasonable compromise of size, speed, and cost. It is not the fastest CF card but it is fast enough for most uses. You can shoot full HD video from a 5DII without problem and it saves images relatively fast (enough so that I have yet to run into buffer slowdown on that camera) You can spend a lot more for a faster card. And if you have a high end DSLR, you might even be able to notice. But note that I said high-end. On my XTi body, this keeps up such that I can burst shoot without any slowdown for hundreds of shots. On my 5D, it is good for a while but shooting RAW produces 24megabyte files for each image so you start to really push the limits of the card when shooting as full speed.
