Pros: Compatible with other seagate drives and easily exchange them between bases.
Cons: Slow for a 5.5" external drive. Its average speed only goes to 6.8M/s. My USB 2.0 3.5" external drive can reach 15 M/s. Not sure what is going on.

Pros: large enough space to store photos ect. great price downloads rapidly can pull up photos just like on my computer

Pros: Always had good luck with Seagate, and this is no exception. Does what it claims, easy hookup, lots of space, good price, and a decent looking unit. Mostly used for downloading music, photos and videos. I cannot believe how fast the drive arrived. Great shipping.
Cons: It is too early to report on some of the negative claims read about this model, so I hope it continues to operate as it does now.

Pros: Seagate makes a great product, and at this price, I could afford 3TB which is enough storage for everything i could ever want to retain. It works great on backup and also if you just want to drag and drop files, which is something I was doing from some of my older computers before taking the hard drives out and destroying them.

Other Comments: I needed an external HDD that did not need external power source. Salesman told that this was USB power supplied, and it is not. They say that I will have to pay to have it shipped back. I shouldn't have to pay shipping because the salesman didn't know what he was talking about!
