It's clarity is remarkable. It is also perfect for making videos. The quality build is apparent in merely turning the zoom or the focus ring...very precise and smooth; nothing sloppy.   Great lens by Sigma By Spenc on April 23, 2014 Review submitted for Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4 DC Macro OS HSM Lens for Sigma Deluxe Filter Kit Bundle (E1SG1770S884) Pros: The price was the same most everywhere but Beach Camera included the bundle which is pretty good. The filter is not the best so I am not using it but the rest of the bundle is useful to me. Great lens. Light weight. Great photos with this lens. By PentaxShooter on April 05, 2014 Review submitted for Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4 DC Macro OS HSM Lens for Pentax Mount Digital SLR Cameras (SG1770SPA884) Pros: * solid build * near silent AF motor / focuses fast * great image quality * reasonable size / weight for focal lengths * lot of lens for the $ Cons: * wish it came with a lens case * 72mm filter size. 77mm would've been perfect to share with my other Sigma lenses. * zoom ring rotates in opposite direction than I'm used to, but no real problem Other Comments: I bought this lens for all purpose, walk around use. Just got tired of changing primes all the time. Although I did my research and the reviews were well received, this lens is even better than advertised. My backpack now holds three Sigma lenses that covers me from 10mm to 200mm. Thinking next of adding a Sigma teleconverter for a bit more reach.
