way better than the comparable canon lenses!

30mm f/1.4 ART DC HSM ART for Canon Digital SLR Cameras - 301101

Pros: compared to canon's 28mm and 35mm (L lenses included), this lens:
-gives sharper pictures,
-gives less vignetting
-better build quality (canon uses tons of plastic in they cameras and lenses now, where as this lens is mostly made of metal)
-as a bonus, you get a nice lens case and lens hood. canon provides neither with their lenses. even nikon gives lens hoods.
-price!
Cons: I wish it had some form of image stabilization, but not even canon's 35mm 1.4L (which runs 1.5k) has that. so this is understandable.
Other Comments: i am using a camera with a cropper censor and i wanted a 50mm lens. 30mm x 1.6 crop factor = 48mm. close enough. this lens is awesome!
