I am not disappointed. I am used to Canons and the controls take a little getting used to. But with practice it wasn't too bad. I love the photo qualities and the videos are amazing. I played around a lot of the miniature/toy camera/illustration/watercolor functions and some more. It was so much fun! Besides very fast focus, it turns on fast enough with brillently exposed photos with good colors. Took some wedding photos in a semi dark church and got some very nice pictures. Reception photo with flash were well exposed and captured lots of spontanious moments. Macro function was amazingly sharp and well focused. I set the camera to Intellegent mode for my wife and she is very pleased. Auto flash in this mode detects when necessary to pop up and also turns on red-eye reduction mode when camera detects people facing camera when taking the exposure. This is her 5th pocket digital compact camera in 12 years and by far her favorite! Cons: Did not come with seperate AC battery charger, requiring one to charge in camera and camera can't be used when charging,but playback possible. Charging cable plug in is on bottom, forcing you to either lay camera on LCD screen which might be easily scratched or on lense side, which might show wear on front of camera. Did not come with wrist strap which I feel is very necessary to prevent dropage since not easy to hold camera securely due to lack of finger space. Bottom Line: 5 Stars for operations and 4.5 stars for implimentation of camera charging system. I look forward to the next generation of this camera!
