Pros: See "other thoughts"
Cons: See "other thoughts"
Other Comments: The "read only" problem I mentioned in my original review can be changed by going to Menu-Setup-USB Connection, and changing the default Auto setting to Mass Storage.

4 out of 5 stars   Sony pocket camera DSC-WX350
By Jim on June 11, 2015
Review submitted for Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX350 Digital Camera (Black) (SNDSCWX350K)
Pros: The camera takes very good pictures. It is small enough to fit in pocket or purse, but has a nice size screen. The 20x zoom lens is very good, even at max zoom. The image stablization feature helps take good pictures at a distance. The in camera menu is well organized and easy to scan through. The flash is good for a small camera. The wrist strap prevents it falling and breaking. It has a long battery life and charges quickly, even through a USB comuter port.
Cons: The off/on button is quite small and a little hard to press. That is true with other buttons also, but it's not a major problem. The pictures taken are "read only", so if they're modified they either have to be taken out of that mode beforehand so they can be saved, or they have to be "saved as" using a different name. That might be changeable, but if so it isn't easy to determine how to do it. The USB/charger cable is difficult to insert into the camera. The camera doesn't come with even a small SD card, nor does it have even a small internal memory for photo storage. The main problem with this camera is the lack of a user friendly in depth manual. The "manual" that comes with the camera is merely a single large sheet of paper which is really just a "get started" document. A manual does exist on the Sony site, and is called "printer friendly", but it is not. It is is over 100 pages long, it will not print double sided, the pages are not numbered nor are they separated. It is one very long single document. It would work to a point on your computer, but what do you do if you have a problem in the field? Many of the functions of the camera get lost when a well written user friendly and comprehensive manual doesn't exist, as is the case here.
Other Comments: The camera takes very good photos even out to max zoom. The colors are very good too. However, a novice digital camera user would not obtain its full usefulness, because of the much less than user friendly manual that isn't even included with the camera.
I recommend this product Yes, I recommend this product
