Verified Purchase Review submitted for Sony SAL18250 - DT 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 High Magnification Autofocus A-Mount Lens Alpha (SNSAL18250) Pros: Improves Picture Quality, Interfaces Well With Camcorder, Easy To Use, Compact Design Cons: Other Comments: not the best build quality or the smoothest working lens but having one lens that goes from 18 to 250 in a fairly compact design is really awesome.I did not want to carry several lens while on vacation and this really fit my needs as a "all in one" type lens. Sharp pictures and great videos but the smoothness of the lens leaves something to be desired. Also, unless I am missing something, the hood does not mount in reverse when you don't need it which is quite annoying. But, even with it's flaws I am very happy with this purchase. Only had it a week and have not done any real shooting but experimented a lot with it around the house. Whether doing sports action or still, seems very responsive and focus is right on que. It is small for the range and balances well with the camera. I am a manual user, the spouse likes auto and works well in either mode.
