Sony ZSBTG900 Portable NFC Bluetooth Wireless Boombox Speaker System

  Sony ZS-BTG900 boom box is what we needed for our patio By Leonard on July 09, 2014 Review submitted for Sony ZSBTG900 Portable NFC Bluetooth Wireless Boombox Speaker System (SNZSBTG900) Pros: I received my Sony BTG-900 about two weeks ago and am very happy with it. Its primary purpose is to give us some good music while lounging outside by the pool or BBQing. It is not an “all weather” boom box, so we do bring it inside after use and make sure it is placed in an area where it won’t get splashed or dirty. I’ve used it several times, and for a boom box, I am impressed with its sound quality. When the volume is turned up, it is more than sufficient for our patio area. We live next to LAX, so volume was important to us. Volume at the far side of the pool isn’t that great (about 40 feet away and partially obstructed by part of the house), but I didn’t expect it to be. There is a little rattle with the bass when the volume is at max or close to it, but it is not really that bad. I’m also still trying to figure out the best EQ for music. Six preset EQ options seem to do the trick. I’ve used all source functions except for NFC, and they work as I expect them to. Overall I am impressed with this unit and with the speed that Beach Camera services its customers. I have purchased from Beach Camera before and have placed them at the top of my list for electronic purchases. I am a little disappointed that they did not offer an extended warranty for this unit. I treat my gadgets well and would not expect to use an extended warranty (I am at year four of five on a camera and I haven’t needed any fixes), but an extended warranty does give some peace of mind for a small price. I would recommend this unit and I would recommend Beach Camera. Cons: A little bass rattle when volume is at maximum. Other Comments: I wish there was an option for an extended warranty.
