Review submitted for Seagate BlackArmor NAS 110 2 TB Network Attached Storage ST320005MNA10G-RK (ST320005MNA10G)
Pros: Reliable, Highly Compatible, Quiet, Fast, Easy To Install
Cons: Software confusing
Other Comments: It surpasses my linksys NAS220 in ease of use and speed hugely. I also like it better then my Maxtor OneTouch4 Plus, since that one is only available through the network when the computer it's hooked up to is online. The BlackArmor software is great, but a little confusing in some points. It took a little while to figure out the backup options and which ones were best for my use. (multiple computer backups) I use my Linksys NAS220 for streaming backed up videos, but I tested it. And the access and loading times are better. I hooked my epson cx3800 inkjet printer up to the network drive's USB port and it worked fine as a network printer, though the scanner is not accessible. Which was expected. So I'll move it back to one of my computers USB port for that. I tested to see if I could access files under Ubuntu and had no problems. I didn't test anything else under Linux (like building EXT3 partitions). Since the BlackArmor backup suite can backup a partition sector-by-sector, it should be able to backup my EXT3 partitions too. Not tried yet by me.

Pros: Reliable, Quiet, Easy To Install, Fast
Cons: Snow Leopard
Other Comments: This thing works great for PC so far, but with Snow Leopard - not so much. This seems to be an Apple issue, but it's up to Seagate to contact them and give us an update to a locked file for a work-around.
