  Great Beautiful Looking 3D HDTV Loaded! By Snowy the tech on January 09, 2012 Review submitted for Toshiba 42TL515U Natural 1080p 240Hz 3D LED with Built in Wifi (TB42TL515) Pros: Connects fast to WiFi, Best looking TV out there, Energy Efficient, Great Picture Quality, Sharp looking HDTV, Nice strong base, Easy set-up, Many Expert settings, All the connections options I could ever need, Many Ports 4 HDMI, Lite weight set for 42", Great Remote Control, Efficient 2D to 3D, Reduced Glare, LED-backlit Cons: None Other Comments: Remember any LED HDTV that's has less than an inch space for a speaker will never have good sound. Include a soundbar in your purchase when buying this set. Make sure it has a optical connection. The Toshiba does not have a mini headphone jack. Hook it up to a Home theater and you will be blown away. The set is a little slow in booting up(BIG DEAL), but I don't find that to be a problem I remember the days when my black and white set in the 60's took minutes. For a really great picture go to cnet.com and review the 47" model of the same brand plenty for great settings. Take your time doing it. Netflix took three or less minutes to access the WiFi signal in my home. I have have eight WiFi devices with a 12Mps signal and all will work at the same time. My carrier is At&T Uverse. With one button you will access to Net TV, Netflix, Yahoo Wiglets, and "Info". The remote also lights-up. The only problem with the remote is the tiny buttons on the bottom but after a couple of weeks of use you will have it down pack. I never saw myself getting a 3D set for my master bedroom, I was looking at LG 42LV5500 but with the price I got you just couldn't beat it. With promotions I got the set for a little over $600 with no tax and free two day shipping. I use nothing but HDMI 1.4 cables that work for 3D, 4K and other formats. I suggest using these cables only. You don't have to pay a fortune for them. I paid $6.99 no tax free shipping for six footers and 9.99 for a 10 footer and they all work perfect. There have been mixed reviews for the TL515U series but take it from a Audio/Video Recording Engineer since 1974, You won't go wrong. Passive 3D is the only way to go. Stay away from Active. They give you a headache and strain your eyes. The main manufactures are Samsung, Sony, Panasonic, Sharp, and others. Toshiba still makes some Active but now are pushing the Passive Technology. Toshiba's Passive screens are exactly the same as LG's FPR technology. With the cheaper price on Passive glasses you can buy enough for the whole neighborhood!!!Last, Great 3D viewing "In Your Face" Don't have to press the 3D button when going to my DirecTV 3D channels it senses it automatically. I love the remote. But I hate how it makes that clicking sound when using the directional buttons on it. Picture quality is very good and better than my old 32 Lcd which went to our bedroom. This 42 led 3dtv is in the living room.perfect size for our 1bedroom apartment. Sound is ok but having a soundbar or speakers is a lot better. Loving the NETtv which gives access to netflix,vudu,Pandora, etc.. also has yahoo widgets which comes really handy when I check scores for football while still watching live tv. I am just so amazed with this tv!!! It automatically switches to 3d mode and you can also watch regular show or movie and convert to 3d although not as good compared to real 3d but still gives depth and nice quality. The tv is so thin even thinner than my 32" Lcd. The box that this tv shipped with was probably between 2 and 3inches. Even the delivery guy was amazed. Buy this tv now! You won't be disappointed.
