I can still record on VHS and watch my vast collection of tapes, and as a bonus, I can copy my tapes to DVD. This machine has been the answer to all my recording needs. Verified Purchase Review submitted for Toshiba DVR-670 - DVD Recorder w/ ATSC, QAM, NTSC Tuner (TBDVR670) Pros: Attractive Design Cons: Confusing / Bad Remote Control Other Comments: Get some problem and not Guide not Technical support did not help solve them: 1. when TV was connect directly from Cable box with HDMI sound was great but when it was connected through unit it was very weak and technical support said I can return this unit for replacement as defective but later when I connected TV directly from cable box by coaxial cable the sound was the same way weak as before from unit so unit was OK just HDMI connection gave much better sound; 2. in VCR mode when I Pushed REC.MODE button I did not see anything on the TV but in DVD mode using the same button I could see on TV different recording mode-again call to Technical Support did not hel and I got suggestion to return u nit as a defect one but later more carefully reading manual in the Note for DUBBING in fancy font I found out that to see this on TV unit should be connected to TV using video cable and doing this I solved this problem but I think this should be in not in the NOTE but on of the STEP in GUIDE.
