Genuine Toshiba 98 Watt-hour batteries are available for around $125 with free shipping from various internet vendors and greatly increase the available time. Sound quality from the built-in speakers is poor at best, but that's what I'd expect from their size. If you want good sound, use a headset or aux speakers. It would be nice if Toshiba would refrain from installing a bunch of useless and trial software on the machine. But I guess that's probably a significant source of their income. Provide a disk and let the user select what he wants. Yes, I know programs can be uninstalled but I'm never sure Windows removes all of the unwanted program without affecting other programs. This is my first laptop, so I really can't compare it to others, but overall I'm extremely happy with what I got and with the price I paid.
