28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 XR Di VC LD IF Aspherical IF Macro Lens for Canon DSLR Mounts
(TM28300VCEOS)
Pros: Fast / accurate auto-focus, Consistent Output
Cons:
Other Comments: I started by looking at the Tamron 70-300mm and then thought about the many times I've lost shots while switching lenses. No need to switch with this lens and I ended up spending less than if I'd bought two. Eventually, I will buy a dedicated f/2.8 lens in the 15-50mm range; but for now, the flash takes care of those problems. So far, after about 1,000 shots, the pictures have been coming out as well as if not better than when I was switching between my (older) two lenses. I am very happy with this purchase.
