Review submitted for Tamrac 517 Tele-Zoom Pak Holster Bag - for Digital SLR w/ Lens up to 7.5 inches (Navy) (TR51704)
Pros: Compact, Lightweight, Durable, Good Protection, Comfortable Strap
Cons:
Other Comments: The price on this great bag is now absurdly low. Buy it while you can. I own three and prefer it to the Lowepro equivalent, primarily due to the modular design that allows me to hang an extra lens and a speedlight (in cases with velcro straps) on either side. The opening is wide -- ensuring fast access. A padded, removable, divider allows you to carry an extra lens below the nose of the mounted lens -- if the mounted lens isn't too long. Otherwise it is extra protection for the business end of the mounted lens. While the case opening isn't designed for camera bodies with battery grips it doesn't take much to force the issue as the bag is flexible and will conform to the shape of the larger body. An unpadded front pocket is quite large and fits a speedlight. An interior pocket on the top flap holds batteries and memory cards. A superior product, I'm sorry to see it go -- I suspect it is being phased out -- but on the upside its going CHEAP.
