Why? Because it doesn't last as long as Sony claims. It's good that Beach Camera gave me two extra batteries, because every time I shoot away from home, the battery in the camera very quickly loses its charge and I have to stop shooting and put in the second battery. And then the second battery very quickly loses its charge, too, so again I have to stop shooting and put in the third battery. And when the third battery loses its charge, I have to stop shooting. If you don't want to constantly stop shooting to put in fresh batteries, forget about getting three weak batteries, and get the strongest battery Sony makes for the camera. And be prepared, because it's going to cost you. I don't see why Sony makes such good camcorders and then puts weak batteries in them. Was this review helpful?     |     Report this review
