Other Comments: in that last 30 years, i have always had a swiss army knife of one or the other brands... i even repaired and tuned up an out of tune car with a broken radiator hose around midnight in the middle of nowhere south dakota.. it was the only tool we had and the only one we needed.. i always have one when i go abroad to other countries as well.. the single best tool you can put in your pocket..

Other Comments: The Victorinox Climber has just the right set of tools on it for everyday use. The scissors are very sharp and small enough for detailed work. I use those frequently. Having a big blade and small blade is nice, too - the small blade allows a bit more precision work. Noteably absent on the Climber is a phillips screwdriver, but I've found that the small flathead screwdriver on the can opener works well with standard #2 sized phillips screws. The Climber is just big enough for medium-sized jobs without feeling like a toy like some of the smaller knifes. It's comfortable to carry in your pocket with jeans but may be a bit too much for thinner slacks. The only thing I'd change would be the keychain. It serves no purpose (how many of us actually use a full-sized swiss army knife as a keychain?) and it makes accessing the parcel carrying hook difficult. I carefully removed my keychain with a Dremel cut off wheel and now have the perfect combination.
