Pros: Every camera owner needs to have at least a basic set of filters. This one is a great buy. The filters you will definitely use is the UV filter which will protect your camera lens and take out the bluish tint on your outdoor pics, and a very useful circular polariser filter which reduces or eliminates reflect from windows, cars, or any shiny object and it can be adjusted simply by turning it to get the amount of filtering you need. Plus, it comes in a sturdy case. You can't beat it, unless you want to pay many times more for others.
Cons: I can't think of any.
Other Comments: Very fast turnaround from order to door.

3 out of 5 stars   Are these the best choice?

Other Comments: I acted on impulse and bought this kit of three filters at the same time I bought my NEX 6 with 16-50mm kit lens. I suspect they are a "price point" kit of three filters, meant to encourage purchase, which is just the way they worked for me. They are remarkably inexpensive, and the small padded case makes them very easy to carry. For some non-critical uses these filters might be fine. For the "walkabout" photographer these filters offer an inexpensive way to learn what filters can do, and what they can not do. But to get the best image quality out of any lens, either no filter at all, or the best filter one can afford, should be the choice. I now wish I had shopped around somewhat more before buying filters for this particular lens. A set of step-up rings and some 46mm filters might have been a smarter choice.
