Pros: My camera and lens fell from the flimsy tripod that was sent to me and scratched my wood floor and broke the lens filter. As far as I can tell, my $2000 lens looks okay, but the cracked filter is stuck on it. The filter may have saved the lens. ??

Cons: Doesn't Fasten Well
Other Comments: The 77mm UV filter I purchased concurrently did not seat well. I am not sure whether this was the fault of the lens or the filter. However, due to this, apparently the filter/lens cap combination came loose from the lens and fell off when I set the camera down in a restaurant, and I did not realize this until after I returned home. When I called the restaurant the next day they said they didn't have the filter and lens cap. I had to order another lens cap and filter at my expense.
