Review submitted for Zeikos Vertical Battery Grip for Nikon D300 / D700 (Replaces MB-D10) (ZENBG300)
Pros: Solid Construction, Easy to Install
Cons:
Other Comments: The Zeikos battery grip is a great after market accessory. It is lighter and costs a quarter of the Nikon MB-D10, and has the same functions. I'm not a pro so it fits into my budget.

Review submitted for Zeikos Vertical Battery Grip for Nikon D300 / D700 (Replaces MB-D10) (ZENBG300)
Pros: Reliable, Value, Easy to Install
Cons: Plastic
Other Comments: I'm a professional wedding photographer in New York. This Zeikos brand battery grip fits both the Nikon D300s, and the D700 very nicely. The fit and performance is exactly the same as the expensive Nikon MB-10 grip and provides a slightly higher FPS boost on the D300s. Perfect for balancing larger lenses, adding a base that you can use to brace your shots against your shoulder, and of course, vertical shooting with a grip is completely comfortable, especially with longer lenses. The plastic build quality is not up to the magnesium-framed Nikon grip, but the plastic used is extremely durable, matched the finish of the Nikon body perfectly, and enabled me to shoot all day without changing batteries. It comes with all the features that matter, at a significantly lower price. Check out [...] for better reviews, but buy from BuyDig for better price and service.Highly Recommended.

1 out of 5 stars   Error right out of the box
By stangcrazed on November 24, 2010
Review submitted for Zeikos Vertical Battery Grip for Nikon D300 / D700 (Replaces MB-D10) (ZENBG300)
Pros: Easy to Install
Cons:
Other Comments: I thought I would purchase this third party grip to try and save a buck or two. Straight out of the box it gave me an Err and locked up my shutter. I read reviews and didn't want to believe them when you get 1 out of 10 bad reviews on this product. Look at the actual Nikon version, nearly no bad reviews to be seen. I am a pro and after seeing this on the camera I don't feel comfortable using it on my expensive set up. If you are serious don't go cheap with this product get the real thing.

Review submitted for Zeikos Vertical Battery Grip for Nikon D300 / D700 (Replaces MB-D10) (ZENBG300)
Pros: Easy to Install, Solid Construction
Cons:
Other Comments: This grip is an excellent alternative to the Nikon MB-D10. I already have the Nikon MB-D10 on my D700 and wanted to try this as a cost effective option on my D300. After reading the positive reviews, I was confident that this would be a suitable for everyday use. I am happy to report that this grip is a perfect fit to the camera and the construction is very good. As long as you realize it is made from a sturdy plastic, not magnesium like the Nikon. It feels very much the same as the Nikon MB-D200 grip I had on my D200. The controls and buttons work the same as the Nikon MB-D10 and there were no communication errors between the grip and camera as some others have reported using this Zeikos grip. If you are budget conscious and don't need the magnesium pro-build of the Nikon grip, this is a very nice alternative that does exactly what it is supposed to do and hasn't disappointed.
