Other Comments: I have never heard of Zeikos until I received this filter. It doesn't seem to affect the color or clarity and protects the Tamron 18-270mm lens. It is a great deal for free when I purchased the Tamron lens. Can't tell any difference with the Zeikos compared to my Hoya or Tiffen filters. A good buy for the price and even better for free!

I purchased a new Tamron lens and knew I would receive this filter free, but I went and purchase a 72mm Hoya multicoating UV filter (thinking Hoya is a much better brand, or at least it has to be better than a filter you receive as a free gift when you purchase a lens). I tried both, and actually prefer this inexpensive Zeikos filter.

Other Comments: Inspected the filter directly after removing it from its container. Held it up to the light and saw several spots. Tried every cleaning device I had to remove the spots but nothing worked. If you're shooting in low lights, it won't be a problem but the minute your camera moves towards a light source, the spots will stand out in you images. Doesn't matter how cheap the filter is, if it adds artifacts to my images, it is useless.
