On - Off switch is very poorly designed

Pros: All purpose speaker, nice and portable, Decent sound output
Cons: Cannot Turn Off, Audio cord could b longer, On - Off switch is a joke, Kills batteries
Other Comments: As I said who ever designed the On - Off switch must have lost their job as it is unbelievably bad. I have no idea how it got past R&D teams and ended up on one of Altec Lansing's speakers! It has to be quite an embarrassment for them, unless they don't care.
