Pros: I got this laptop because I thought it was a great deal for the price.The laptop has a CoreI7+8gbram+1tb hd+ geforce GTX85OM.It is relatively light and It has played all the games I have thrown at it at full 1920x1080 resolution(Crysis 2,max payne 3 tomb raider, metro last light, borderlands 2, dishonored,assassins creed black flag,sleeping dogs) all DX11 titles at max settings.It never heated up and ran relatively quiet.The display is a matte tn panel which is alright if u dont like glares,hd video images are alright but could be sharper .If you are a gamer looking for a moderately priced laptop capable of running modern games, this is your product.The Hdmi 1.3 output is 4K capable so you can hook it up to higher res display which is a plus.I really recommend this laptop.
Cons: I initially noticed that the display color palette was defective because it had a brownish filter which made a lot of web pages and pictures look discolored,reddish and washed out. I fixed that by uninstalling "asus splendid technology" app which came preinstalled and everything looks much better now and the screen is brighter now.The track-pad is a little bit tricky but can be mastered with practice
