The washable filter is easy to clean, does not take long to dry, a little fragile so you have to be easy when cleaning it, but a money saver all the same. The filter cleaning device is a big help in keeping the filter clean longer. The power button is stiff and you have to push it hard, perhaps that will get better with time and use. I have found that you have to hold the unit straight down when releasing the dirt cup to empty or it may spill some. Still, I would buy this Dustbuster again. This one is really a step up in power and convenience. I like the self-contained snout and self storage of the brush attachment. I am very pleased with this purchase. My pet peeve with most of the products in this category is that the batteries are not replaceable so when the battery goes the whole thing is junk.
