4 out of 5 stars   Works just as advertised
December 10, 2014
Review submitted for Bodum Chambord French Press Coffee Maker, 12 oz. Glass Carafe - Chrome (BDM192316US4)
Pros: Easy to use and small so it can be easily used in small spaces. Glass brewing vessel so no plastic which I like. I stir carefully with a very thin and flexible stainless butter knife to avoid using plastic.
Cons: Don't use boiling water. I didn't test this instruction so I don't know if the glass would crack.

5 out of 5 stars   Great design

Review submitted for Bodum Chambord French Press Coffee Maker, 12 oz. Glass Carafe - Chrome (BDM192316US4)
Pros: Quick coffee maker. I love it. I normally use the French dripping as seen here http://www.howtobrewcoffee.com/Vietnamese.htm. It takes long time and by the time the coffee is made, it is cold already. The coffee with Bodum is still hot and easy to use
Cons: According to this website and other http://wisecoffee.blogspot.com/2012/12/french-press-increases-ldl-cholesterol.html, the Bodum leave lot of Cafestol still in the coffee and this Cafestol can be bad for LDL cholesterol. To solve the problem or at least limit the problem by combine my old coffee maker and new one. I first make my coffee with Bodum, then add a paper towel into my old coffee maker. Pour the coffee from the Bodum to the old coffee maker with filter and trap all the Cafestol.

Pros: Best coffee
Cons:
Other Comments: Only able to make a cup every few days due to time limitations but those are really savored. One reviewer stated using for camping and that is the main reason for the purchase.Saw the reviews of the French Press and it definitely lives up to expectations, especially if I reheat a cup there is not a bitter taste! Time spent is DEFINITELY well worth it and wife and I will really enjoy it during camping. Small volume but taste overrides that con.

Pros: Good filter, Easy to clean, Quality, Good Quality, Easy to use
Cons: none
Other Comments: I bought coffee press for the first time, my previous work offered free coffee. I use this coffee press at my new work, which had no free coffee, bummer. It's good size, good portion for one person, myself. I had some ground coffee at home, but was for electric filter coffee maker. So the ground is finer than for the coffee press. I push it moderate speed, and I don't see much grind or sludge in the bottom of my cup. This is great quality filter. It's made of chrome, so I know it will last me a long time.

3 out of 5 stars   Just a little too small.

Pros:
Cons:
Other Comments: The entire capacity is 12oz including the area where the grounds are pushed to. It yields slightly less than one serving in my opinion. It would be perfect had it actually yielded 12oz of coffee, but it was more like 7 or 8 oz.

Pros: Solid Quality
Cons: A little bit small
Other Comments: This is a great product. One serving is perfect for what I need since I'm the only one in my family that drinks coffee. I should have bought the bigger size one, but I'm still very happy with this product.

5 out of 5 stars   Perfect French Pressed Coffee Maker

Review submitted for Bodum Chambord French Press Coffee Maker, 12 oz. Glass Carafe - Chrome (BDM192316US4)
Pros: Simple to operate, Easy to clean, Sturdy design, No Drip Pour, Fine Plunger Mesh
Cons:
Other Comments: French Press is an economical way to make delicious fresh coffee from freshly ground coffee beans without having to make a pot or buy coffee filters. Just pour hot water into the vessel and onto the coarse ground coffee beans. Let the hot water release the flavor of the beans for about 4 minutes. Occasionally stir. Put in the plunger and compress the grinds, then pour the coffee into your cup. Voila! Delicious French Press coffee!
