Pros: Metal constuction no heat escapes - cool to touch. Heavy duty grill surface. Extra grill for veggies. Better thermometer, built in. Better openings on top and bottom. Easy to operate. Will last for decades.
Cons: None
Other Comments: So glad I bought this grill rather than it's green colored competitor

Review submitted for Broil King Keg 2000 Barbecue Grill - 911050 (BRK911050)
Pros: retains heat, cooks a steak at 600 or more degrees for a great sear. Well made and well designed. Owned by a company out of Canada that seems to provide parts and support better than average. I haven't mastered slow cooking on this but I'm sure it can be done. The trick besides adjusting the vents would be less charcoal. Like most komodo grills it heats efficiently and uses much less charcoal (be sure to use lump) and less ash. Be aware you will need to replace the seal between the top and bottom about every 2 to3 years. Splurge and get the cover. I plan to build a rolling table to place the grill in. BTW, the outside of the grill is only warm to the touch even when it's over 600 degrees inside! For the price I think it's a great product. All of the components seem to be good quality unlike some I've seen at warehouse places...
Cons: I haven't mastered low and slow on this grill. But I use my Traeger for that...set the temp, put pellets in and forget it.
Other Comments: I don't think you can own a grill that does it all. That's why I have 3 different ones. When I want good chicken, turkey, steak with veggies this one does very well. I have great luck soaking wood chunks (about 3-5" pieces) in water and putting two or three in once the coals are well lit and the smoke flavor is about as good as it gets! Watch videos on youtube or elsewhere on how to use a komodo grill. They can get you up and running without a hitch. BTW, I think cooking everything with the grill closed (as they recommend) helps meat retain it's moisture which is one reason it does so well with poultry, beef and pork. When I open the grill to turn the meat, I can feel the moist heat coming from inside. The marketing about these is not hype. The komodo style has a lot going for it. and for the price I think this is the best one on the market. The green eggs are great and the primo's are very nice units but also a good bit more expensive. Also, there are other colors like a gorgeous bronze.
