Verified Purchase Review submitted for Beltronics GX65 Professional Series Radar/Laser Detector Factory Refurbished (BTRGX65RB) Pros: :-) This GX65 is truly a great detector in every way. It does everything it says it does, and it is SUPER QUIET! As soon as you " lock out "all the K-band door openers and garage openers, this thing remembers them all and this unit is so quiet I almost forget it is even on! And it's range is great too........plenty of time to slow down EXCEPT for lasers when the cops don't hit you until you are 200 feet away, and nothing but an M47 laser blocker can help then.......MAYBE! BUT............they left out an item that we all would've been happy to pay extra for.........."Auto Lock-Out", the "AI" of radar detectors. The GX65 has "Manual Lock-Out", which is still great, but let's face it, auto is better! Cons: As I said a second ago, "Auto Lock-Out" would have been well apreciated and worth a little extra to get. That's about it, this is definitely just as good as the 9500ix........actually, it's a clone of the 9500ix without auto lock feature. I have pretty much locked out all the false warnings in my town on the main roads I usually drive on by now anyway, lol! I have to force myself to wait until I have heard the false warning 3 or more times before I lock it out though.............last week I locked one out on the first warning only to find out that it was a cop hiding in a parking lot with a K band door opener trying to trick us! The only reason I noticed was because I definitely remembered already locking out that darned door, and I took another quick look and there he was hiding behind a row of mail boxes! So, always be careful. Other Comments: Will this unit work with (ie: remotely control) laser blocking units BESIDES the Escort laser blockers? I ask this because I already own the "Blocker M47" laser disrupters and it will be great if our GX65 will work in conjunction with it! Oh yes, this unit looks absolutely brand new.......not a mark on it. As far as I'm concerned, this unit IS brand new. If you need a high end radar/laser detector, you can't go wrong with the Beltronics GX65 Pro series detector........period.
