(CN18200IS)
Pros: Great overall lens, allows me to take only one lens. Pictures look great.
Cons: Only annoyance is that the lens "trails out" when hanging by the neck strap. Seems like that could have been engineered out. Its also a bit heavy but if you were too concerned about that you would be using a pocket camera instead of a DSLR, right?

Pros: Ideal all around lense, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Easily Interchangeable
Cons: Lens Creep
Other Comments: I owned this lense before. Unfortunately, the barrel should be locked while in carrying mode. Otherwise can be fragile fully extended.

Pros:
Cons:
Other Comments: This is my first DSLR lens and I chose this one to be a good "all-around" lens capable of wide angles with decent telephoto capabilities as well. I'm using it on a 60D and so far it works very well. It is well-constructed and seems to do a good job with ambient lighting on the 60D. Granted it's not an L lens but for the price (bought as part of a package) I think it does a great job so far!

EF-S 18-200mm F/3.5-5.6 Image Stabilizer Lens, CANON AUTHORIZED USA DEALER
(CN18200IS)
Pros: Fast / accurate auto-focus, Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable
Cons: Heavy
Other Comments: I'm still in early stages of amateur photography, but this lens is great if you are out and about, and want to take a landscape picture one minute, and a flower picture the next. It is a bit heavy, but that's to be expected. Not having to change lenses is worth the extra weight.
I had one issue with a bit of vignette when the lens was fully extended. Didn't realize what it was at first, but found it happened to others. Not a big deal. I just cropped the edges. I haven't had a lot of time to use the lens, but I'm sure I'll find the time when the winter has passed.
Very happy with my purchase, and Buy Dig was great to deal with.

EF-S 18-200mm F/3.5-5.6 Image Stabilizer Lens, CANON AUTHORIZED USA DEALER
(CN18200IS)
Pros: Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Easily Interchangeable
Cons:
Other Comments: I purchased this lens for my Rebel XS to replace the 18-55 AF Stabilized and a 55-200 Stabilized AF lens.
I recently went to a two day outdoor concert festival in Chcago (Ignite Chicago) and I exclusively used this lens for all my photographs. Interestingly I found that I was not the only one using this lens, I found at least 4 other people using it.
My experience is this, I could not be happier with it. The daytime pictures were great, I could easily do everything I wanted. Honestly I would have liked to had a bit more zoom for this event but the lens is what it is. IT worked flawlessly, the only problems I had were when people would walk in front of me, or a hand would go up or someone else would put their camera in my way.
The night time pictures were more of a challenge, especially with low light. When I set up my ISO properly I got some good pictures, but not as easily as in the daytime. From working with other cameras it was WAY better than anything I have ever worked with before. I used the built in flash, which was more or less useless from 50' I mostly relied on getting pictures when the stage was the brightest...
Keep in mind that this is the first "Real" camera I have ever owned, and I have owned it for about 3 months... So I am in no way an expert, and I know others would have better luck with more experience than I.
All in All I could not be happier, I would definitely recommend it to anyone...

EF-S 18-200mm F/3.5-5.6 Image Stabilizer Lens, CANON AUTHORIZED USA DEALER
(CN18200IS)
Pros: Compact
Cons:
Other Comments: For a medium-priced 11:1 zoom lens, this thing is pretty amazing. It makes photography fun. THe IS (image stabilization) makes hand-held shooting reasonably possible. Whatever focal length you need, there it is in this one lens. The lens is quite compact, in fact, very small considering its great range. It is much heavier than the standard kit lens, but it is WAY smaller and lighter than the pro 70-200. For street shooting, this is far better than the 70-200, because this allows the photographer to be "invisible". Considering its price and flexibility, it is an amazing lens.
Image quality is not as good as the new 70-200 2.8 IS II, or some of the better primes, but it is in the same ballpark as Canon's 24-105.
This lens is the perfect companion to a Canon 1.6 DSLR body. If I could only have one lens, this would be it.

Getting My Granddaughters' Grad Pix

EF-S 18-200mm F/3.5-5.6 Image Stabilizer Lens, CANON AUTHORIZED USA DEALER
(CN18200IS)
Pros: Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Good Size
Cons: Poor in Low Light
Other Comments: I attended my grandson's high school graduation two years ago. Didn't get any good shots due to distance from stage. Two granddaughters graduated this year and I got good but not great pictures from my seat in the bleachers. This lens has the same wide angle capability I had with the lens that came with my Canon Digital Rebel DSLR but four times the telephoto range. Since it is only a F3.5-5.6 it isn't fast enough for hand held distance shots but it worked well enough for me. Next time I carry a tripod.
