Pros: Surely the price is affordable and works with all Canon Cameras. Full frame and crop sensors will work in auto focus and manual as well. I can use this in the field to lighten the load or when traveling.It is a sharp prime lens through most apertures. Very good results for most general photography. As most reviews will testify, not many bad things to discourage a purchase on a budget.
Cons: Not a lens that should take much abuse as opposed to a professional L lens which would be weather sealed.
Other Comments: As a prime lens, anyone would be satisfied with this lens.

Pros: This lens obviously isn't going to have the build quality of a l lens. However, the clarity from this lens is outstanding! The af seems to hunt sometimes but wide open, it is better to use manual focus because the dof is so shallow.

Other Comments: I was quite surprised with the quality of the images from this lens. For such an inexpensive product this lens produces a great image, very sharp, and lightning fast focusing. The auto focus is a little loud but doesn't bother me personally. Sure, it's not an L-series lens and it won't impress your pro buddies but the low price of this lens does not change the resulting images.
