I want to store it with the battery installed and ready to go when a wild animal walks by the window (I live in the mountains). There are a number of very useful combinations with some presets, others manual, and various overrides which take the drudgery & 'oops' out of full manual but allow creativity not possible in full auto. 18 megapixel stills and 1080p @ 30 fps movies make this the perfect single camera to carry with the 18-135mm zoom.
