Verified Purchase Review submitted for Cobra XRS 9445 14 Band Digital Radar/Laser Detector with UltraBright Data Display etc. (COBXRS9445) Pros: Easy To Mount, Compact And Sophisticated, Neat Features or Extras, Durable, Clear Alert, Good Sensitivity, Versatile Cons: Other Comments: My main use for the product is on the "fastest" Sri Lankan roads where the speed limit is a ridiculous 44 miles per hour. Driving on the deserted straight roads with not a human or animal in sight at 44 mph is dangerous as it puts me to sleep after and hour or two. Doing a steady 55mph or max of 60 is the revolutionary change possible now that I can out smart the corrupt cops eager for pricey bribes from 44.1 mph! and upwards! And falling asleep is especially hard when the beep goes off upon detecting sneaky hidden cops!! The products compact size means that it does not obstruct my view and stays out of sight until needed. Larger units waste space and obstruct one's view thereby undermining safety. If it can be made even more compact whilst increasing range then that would be the only improvement possible! The k, KA, and X band all seem to work but mainly withing a mile or less. Ka, sometimes further. The lazer had to be close to go off. Sometimes it seems quiet too quiet but there could be numerous reasons why. I've never experienced, at anytime, use of all 14 bands. Overall I'm not really impressed but for some cases its adequate. But more hit and miss to me. There are other brands much more sensitive but the question becomes how much do I want to spend? I'm not a speeder, but I do like to know where they are, just because.
