This pair is more versatile and more multi-featured than my two other sets of marine binoculars and certainly more featured than my more straightforward simple binoculars, which is great. . The optics seem very good and the calculator dial, collapsable eye pieces and paded carrying strap are good quality. . The internal compass reading is a little difficult to see unless you tilt the binoculars up a little, but that is no different from my other more costly pair. . The calculator dial looks neat but I will have to take the time to figure it out. . They are a little heavy but again so are all marine binoculars although these may be a little lighter than some others. . The tripod adaptor capability is a nice feature although it would have been nicer if they included an adaptor, even while charging extra for it. I will now have to find one to use as I use tripods for my cameras. . The carrying case is well designed and lightweight and i like the little zippered pocket in the front for a few little extra things such as lens paper, lens cleaning fluid and extra batteries (a set of which came with it) for the internal compas night light. Overall these binoculars seem to be well designed and manufactured and even better were purchased for a good price from Beach Camera. I have purchased other items from Beach in the past and find them to be a good and reliable company yet I have no affiliation with them at all.
