For the past 50 years I have used many binoculars for this activity but these are the most useful. Very good optics at a very reasonable price, especially with the warranty coverage. The only con so far has been the quality of the lens caps. They are meant to stay on the binoc body but can be removed. One of the caps kept falling open and at one point came loose from the body and fell off. Luckily it did not happen out in the woods. I wound up just taking them off.
