Ultima 65 Water Proof Spotting Scope
(CTULT65)
Pros: Lightweight, No-slack focus, Minimal edge fringing, Clear image
Cons: Small exit pupil, Non-standard eyepiece
Other Comments: When I was looking for a spotting scope to replace an old one, I was geared towards a maksutov type scope. I read a lot of favorable reviews on the Ultima series, and I'm glad I went with this scope instead. It's small and lightweight, has clear images with no noticeable violet edge fringing. (Usually a problem with refractor scopes) It's quality built, and the focus control has no slop. The exit pupil is a bit small, so you have to find the right distance from the eyepiece with your eye to see a full image. The zoom does dim the image, (as all zoom scope do) but not enough to detract from use. I keep this scope in the Jeep with a small tripod for use on the Jeep's hood. Great for viewing mountain goats or birds, or spotting a target while shooting. Well worth the money. The only real con is the non-standard eyepiece. It would be nice to be able to use 1.25" telescope eyepieces such as a 40mm Plossl for example, but that's a pretty minor point.
Yes, I recommend this product

Ultima 65 Water Proof Spotting Scope
(CTULT65)
Pros: Good eye relief, Very clear image, Amazing scope for price, Excellent quality
Cons:
Other Comments: I looked at a few spotting scopes in sports stores and did lots of research on the web. This scope is an excellent deal. Great performance at a very low cost. I wear glasses and was concerned with eye relief. I am very happy with the eye relief on this scope - excellent at low mag and good at high mag. Images are real clear - great for target spotting and I even used it to view Jupiter's moons. Wish it came with a hard case.

Pros: Strong Construction, Reasonably priced
Cons: Bad eye relief, Must remove rear lens
Other Comments: Entry level quality. Must remove rear lens for storage. Bad eye relief makes it a bit tough to use for indoor shooting.
