Makes poor tasting coffee

Other Comments: I returned this coffeemaker because it made one of the worst cups of coffee I have ever tasted. I thought at the time that perhaps the heating element was defective because the coffee was also luke warm, not hot. However, since then I have had coffee at friends' homes who also have the Cuisinart coffeemaker and that coffee was also terrible. I am very fussy about my coffee; always buy the best beans fresh, grind them myself, and use the proper proportions, so I know it is not my technique that's the problem

Pros: Quick, Easy to clean, Options
Cons: Holds less than 10 cups, Difficult adding water
Other Comments: I have purchased this brand before and in 6 years not too much has changed. The last coffee maker lasted 6 years, before the electronics acted up. I like the stainless steel decanter, which does keep the coffee hot for up to 6/8 hours. plus it is less breakable. The only issues I have is that it only holds about 9 cups and pouring in the water.
