5 out of 5 stars   Saves me so much time
October 17, 2014
Review submitted for Cuisinart Classic DLC-XPBC 20-Cup Food Processor (Brushed Chrome) (CUIDLCXPBCN)
Pros: Can do 3 peppers at one time. Carrots sliced for salads in one time. I'm still learning how to use it but was happy with it and ordered all the extra disks available. That's the downside, the 7 disc set is discontinued, so I suspect that soon the machine will be also. Get this one while you can. It can handle 2 inch pieces of vegetables in the blade section, where the smaller classic processors only handle 1 inch. The new multifunctional units only handle 1/2 inch pieces. Since I bought this to save time and energy, it was a no brainer which unit to buy. If you have more time and more energy than me, the smaller classics may work for you. But for me, as I get older, I know that in order to continue to prepare meals for extended family and friends, the better the tools, the more energy I have left to enjoy the company.
Cons: It's big. Takes 1/2 of the top level of the dishwasher.
Other Comments: I mainly eat a raw food diet. I plan to use this also to prepare fresh veges for blanching and dehydrating for food storage.
