I definitely wear them out. This is a very powerful little vacuum and works wonderful on hardwood/tile floors. I highly recommend this product for the price. It is reliable, powerful, extremely maneuverable. (Yes, you can get under your couches and desks and cabinets and everything)! Verified Purchase Review submitted for Dirt Devil M082660 Vision Canister Vacuum (DDM082660) Pros: Easy To Empty, Efficient, Powerful/Good Suction, Easy to Use, Lightweight Cons: Short Power Cord Other Comments: delivered quickly and free. cord is about 5' shorter than our old one which died after 5 yrs of good service. i spliced on about 10' to reach the whole house. this one picks up loose cat litter and kibbles with no problem. i have 3 dogs and 2 cats and vacuum every other day. i have a compressor and blow out the cannister and filter about every 3 uses. this is the 2nd one of these i've owned. it's worth the [$] bucks vs spending 3 times that for something similar. since our old one is just like it we now have 2 cannisters and several extra filters.
