  Excellent Pocket Camera January 30, 2014 Review submitted for Canon Powershot ELPH 330 HS Black Digital Camera 8GB Bundle (E1CNPSE330HSK) Pros: The menus are easy to use. You practically don't ever have to read the manual, which is nice. The auto picture taking function works great. Don't have to use the manual settings too much to dial in decent pictures, plus macro is automatic too. Focus on super closeup pics takes care of itself. The download time (using cable) is faster than older ELPH models like the 310. Also! At first the included camera pouch included seemed large for the camera. Later I realized you can put the charger, usb cable, and camera in the pouch together! Just make sure you separate the charger and camera with the cable so the camera doesn't get scratched. Cons: Don't expect picture quality to be better. The pictures are about the same as slightly older model ELPH cameras like the 310. The wireless capabilities sound sexy, but in use they are slow. I wanted to transfer pics to my computer using it, but quickly went back to the cable. Still could be useful for sharing when on a vacation though. Just don't count on speed. No extra battery is included. You will need an extra battery because once you use one taking pictures and videos, it's nice to have another ready to go. In my opinion Canon's image quality is far superior to the competition. I'm not talking about raw resolution or artifacting - I simply mean "the look" from the Digit 5 image processor. If you're looking for a pro camera with manual features this isn't it - go for the Canon S110 - but for a light weight, truly pocketable camera that produces excellent images, this is the one. I would like true manual features to control ISO, aperture, shutter speed etc - unfortunately this camera doesn't have that but the auto modes are excellent and easy to use. However, I knew that before purchase and decided to trade those features for lightweight pocket-ability. My only real complaint is that the WIFI is nightmarishly complicated to set up and I would consider myself seriously technically proficient.
