Was trying to find something similar to Sylus 1010.....and I did! I like to take pictures indoor and outside, so, the quality is realy good for both locations. I like to take a lot of pictures almost every day and the battery life is never disapointing me. I`m very satisfied with super macro regime. I am not used to the lag time and find it quite annoying. I bought this as a backup when lugging around my 35mm is not convenient and because I have a new godson. As anyone with children knows lag time ruins most pictures of children - no exception here. If eveything you're taking pictures of will remain perfectly still until the "shooting" is complete - nice camera. We purchased this camera before taking a trip to the Zoo...I am so glad we did! It took awesome photos of all the animals and of my 2-year-old daughter. The zoom is awesome - in the photos of the elephants, you can see every last hair on their backs and they were a good 100 feet away from us at that point. The shutter is quick too so I didn't miss the hilarious shot of my daughter acting like a monkey - wouldn't have gotten that one with my old Fuji, that's for sure!
