Pros: This point and shoot camera is a great introduction to digital photography. After searching over twenty comparable cameras in the $100 TO $300 range for ease of use and capabilities to make great pictures, I selected this one for a gift to a teenage son of a friend. They were both thrilled with the capabilities of the camera. No need to carry a variety of lenses for wide angle or zoom shots. Low light, action, landscapes, sunsets, beach, party, indoor, portraits and more are easy and quick settings with this camera. If I didn't already have a DSLR this is the camera I would buy for myself. Easy to travel with too.
Cons: This Fuji has the limitation of being a one lens camera. The focal length adjustments are limited to the automatic features of the camera. The camera eats up battery power and can get hot when taking continuous photos or video without a pause. For an all day photo shoot it would be advisable to carry five sets of rechargeable batteries and a car auxiliary charger. The size of the camera is too large to fit in a shirt pocket like some other makes and models and therefore it is prudent to purchase a have a carry bag to store batteries and memory cards.
Other Comments: Do yourself a favor and read the manual. This model of point and shoot camera has lots of features and benefits that you may not know about yet--for example, do you ever wish you could take panorama photos? Do you know the best brand and size of memory chip to use with this camera? Can you quickly adjust the ISO or the f/stop to capture that humming bird you see? Read--the--manual!

Pros: Haven't had a lot of time to use this camera but so far it has been outstanding for what I use it for..I am not a professional photographer by any means.
