Verified Purchase Review submitted for Nikon COOLPIX P900 16MP 83x Super Zoom Digital Camera Full HD Video Black 16GB Bundle (E2NKCPP900) Pros: Massive optical zoom Fast f/2.8 f stop @ 24mm wide LCD monitor that flips out and can rotate WiFi GPS Vibration reduction system Cons: No raw (wouldn't use this for pro photo's anyway) No hot shoe Slow at processing manual changes and burst shots Bulky Other Comments: I always shoot in manual, which means I make a lot of adjustments on the fly. I just sold my Nikon Coolpix P600 and bought this P900 and right away I noticed a big difference in how long it takes the P900 to react to my adjustments vs the P600. I'm not sure why it is like that but of all the cons it has, the delay is the one that I really can't stand. I am hoping it is just a firmware problem and can be easily corrected. Time will tell I guess. Some reviewers complained about the pictures being "soft". Towards the end of the zoom I did notice the same thing but in the user settings you can adjust the picture control and boost the sharpness to your likings. I boosted it 1 click and have been totally satisfied with the results. I have attached a few pics I recently took with the P900. I am an avid hiker in the Adirondacks so this camera will be perfect for what I need it for. I also shoot with the Nikon D200 and D610 but toting one of those, with a couple lenses would be too heavy and cumbersome, not to mention the wear and tear it would cause on the more expensive equipment!!   Disappointed By Richard P on July 28, 2016 Review submitted for Nikon COOLPIX P900 16MP 83x Super Zoom Digital Camera Full HD Video Black 16GB Bundle (E2NKCPP900) Pros: The digital zoom brings distance close as anyone would ever want. Cons: The zoom and focus is terribly slow. Shooting moving objects at any distance at all near impossible because the focus is so slow. The camera is as heavy as a traditional SLR. There is no mechnical zoom or focus, you can only push buttons and wait. Other Comments: The camera is only effective with a tripod shooting subjects standing still.   Great birding camera. Focusing well and fast, taking very nice distance photos. Cons: A little heavy but not a high problem.
