The edge lit LED backlight is very bright and uses much less energy than the regular LCD TVs. The only downside to the edge lit LED backlight is that during dark scenes you can see that the light is coming from the edge of the top and bottom and it can be a little distracting. Over all a great TV though. I connected the wireless link and use the DLNA capablities to stream content from my computer which works very well as well as the built in apps which work great. The 3d capablities are nice but your eyes get tired and it doesn't add that much in my opinion. When there is more content available that is made for 3d maybe it will be more enticing.
