Other Comments: I am very pleased with the EC1454u notebook computer. It has a full-sized keyboard and a true HD display, and is small and light enough to be easy to travel with through airport security. I would prefer the screen have a glare-resistant coating, but the reflective surface has not been a problem. The HDMI-out is easy to configure. It connected easily to my 55" HDTV using the HDMI output and was very pleased with the results. Its wireless connection works great, and Windows 7 Home Premium has proved to be easy to work with in connecting to other computers and printers on my network. Its overall performance and speed is very good. It does not come with a manual that is specific to the model number, although it should. That will not be a problem to advanced users, but novices may need more help than the included documentation provides.

Other Comments: This computer is extremely light and fast for it's price and size. The screen is beautiful, and the resolution is so high that I sometimes have to increase the size of text on web pages to read it comfortably. Battery life is around 5-6 hours with standard use. The touchpad is nice enough but the multitouch gestures don't always work perfectly. The keyboard is the main downside- the size is fine, but the keys are completely flat so your fingers can't feel the edges and not backlit, so in low light I often slide off onto the wrong key.
For 50-100 bucks more than a standard netbook, this computer is way better. It functions great as my primary computer and fits great in a small messenger bag.
